The BMW Malaysian Open, the most prestigious tennis tournament for women in the country returns in 2016 at a new venue – the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC).
An international tennis tournament sanctioned by the WTA, the largest sporting event in the world for women, the BMW Malaysian Open will be held from 29th February to 6th March 2016
at a purpose built and newly constructed venue in the premises of the
KLGCC that will offer easy access for players and spectators.

tournament which introduces the tennis stars of the world to Malaysia
and raises the level of the sport locally is back in Kuala Lumpur.
Tennis fans here can expect another thrilling year of end to end tennis
action on new courts at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC).”
Ambi

sport of tennis in the country with hope of raising the profile of the
game in Malaysia as well as to help identify, cultivate and support
emerging tennis talents in the country.
Tournament Director Keld
Kristiansen, who is also the Executive Chairman of event promoters
Carbon Sports Sdn. Bhd, meanwhile said, "The facilities at the KLGCC
are being purpose-built which allows us to design the venue for easier
access and suit the specific needs of the sport and its athletes."
The
new venue is designed for visitors to be able to park their cars within
walking distance to the competition grounds while separate driveways
have been allocated for athlete and VIP vehicles.
