New Reciprocal Club from Japan, Taiheiyo Club


KLGCC announces the latest addition to its reciprocal club from the land of rising sun, Taiheiyo Club.

Kuala Lumpur – January 2016, the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club always aims to provide world class service and commitment to its members and this year things are getting more exciting when an additional reciprocal club is extended to an international Top – Class Golf Club in Japan, the Taiheiyo Club.

Renowned as Japan’s world class golf club among avid golfers, Taiheiyo Club proudly presents 17 domestic golf courses, ranging from tournament to resort courses, three hotels and four golf schools, making it the leading firm in the wide segment of the golfing world in Japan. Standing at almost 16,000 registered members, the President and CEO of the club, Mr Shun Han envisions on creating premium lifestyle experiences for their members.

Operating under the philosophy of “Top of the Top-Working towards Japan’s world class golf club”, Taiheiyo Club has been working towards in continuing, establishing and attracting major international pro golf tournaments such as the Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters. With its strategically designed golf courses, numerous world class players have graced the golf courses such as the legendary Tiger Wood, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen in the 2001 World Golf Championships EMC World Cup.

Steven Thielke, General Manager of KLGCC with Farroul Hossey, Club Manager of KLGCC went for a four-day visit to three of the golf courses namely Gotemba Course, Gotemba West and Konan Course, last November and were captivated by the beauty of the golf courses and the warm hospitality of the Taiheiyo’s Management team. It was indeed a fruitful visit that lead to the signing of the reciprocal agreement between both clubs.  

 “The addition of Taiheiyo Club to KLGCC’s reciprocity will certainly add value to our members and complements our aim of providing more exceptional privileges to KLGCC members’, said Steven Thielke.

 “It was an amazing experience for us to visit such a prestigious Golf Club and I am sure that our members will definitely feel the same way when they fully utilize the reciprocal privileges in any of the 17 golf courses under Taiheiyo Club. We also would like to extend the splendid experience for Taiheiyo Club members when they play at our championship golf course”, said Farroul Hossey.

In line with this exciting collaboration between KLGCC and Taiheiyo Club, members from both club will have to abide on the stated rules and will have an exclusive privilege to enjoy the following privileges:

  • KLGCC members have the privilege to access all 17 Taiheiyo golf course all over Japan.
  • An additional advantage for KLGCC members with a 50% cheaper rate compared to Taiheiyo Club members when playing at any of their golf courses.
  • Reciprocal members can bring along their guests and enjoy Member’s Guest rate.
  • Each Reciprocal member may enjoy a maximum of twelve (12) rounds of golf per calendar year.
  • Reciprocal members are entitled to use the facilities subject to the same chargers as a Member.
