Statement from Chief Executive Officer of TPC Kuala Lumpur

TPC Kuala Lumpur has been privileged to host numerous major international golfing events. Between 2013 and 2015, the Maybank Malaysian Open, Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia and CIMB Classic were successfully staged at TPC Kuala Lumpur when never before in the history of Golf Tournaments has a Club hosted the European, LPGA and PGA TOURS all within the same year; for three consecutive years. In addition, during 2016 and 2017, TPC Kuala Lumpur also successfully hosted two international Women’s Tennis Tournaments ie. the BMW Malaysian Open and ALYA WTA Malaysian Open.

With determination and dedication in consistently excelling as the PGA Tour’s only Club in Southeast Asia, TPC Kuala Lumpur has won numerous accolades not just locally but internationally. Earlier this year, TPC Kuala Lumpur achieved another three incredible milestones when we were respectively ranked 78th as one of the Top 100 World’s Greatest Golf Courses, 88th as one of  the World’s  Top 100 Platinum Golf and Country Clubs and 19th in the list of the Top 100 Golf Courses in Asia.

At the 2018 Asian Golf Awards held in Bangkok in November, TPC Kuala Lumpur were lauded with two more special accolades when we received the Asia Pacific Order of Zenith Award which is bestowed only to the number one golf course within the respective countries in Asia Pacific and the Best Championship Course in Asia Pacific.

Without doubt, the massive international coverage gained from hosting such high profile tournaments and the numerous awards that we have received, have immensely boosted the profile of the Club and we would like to thank everyone especially Members, Management and Staff for their amazing support over the years. These recognitions are a symbol of our sense of pride and joy in becoming one of the hottest golfing properties in Malaysia and the region.

The recent 10-month renovation of the newly upgraded West Course proves our steadfast commitment to deliver the best possible golfing experience for Members. The new West Course represents a new chapter with a better and improved version for Members to enjoy.

As some of you may have known by now, this was the final year for the CIMB Classic after an amazing nine years, and with the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia also behind us, the Club welcomes the break from major tournaments which enables us to be more focused on enhancing golfing as well as non-golf experiences for Members and their loved ones.

As 2018 comes to a close, let us reflect on the good times and together, we can create more wonderful moments at TPC Kuala Lumpur. Cheers to a fresh and exciting year in 2019!
