Preserving Endangered Trees at TPC Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, Monday 23 March 2018 – Malaysia’s premier golf and country club TPC Kuala Lumpur (TPCKL) held a tree planting ceremony with the aim to preserve the Hopea Odorata, an endangered native tree species in the Red List of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature or IUCN. 

TPCKL Chairman of Liaison Committee, Dato Amer Hamzah and TPCKL’s Club Captain, Dato’ Mustapha Ali were all set and can’t wait to be in to help preserve the endangered trees

A total of 40 staff and Club committee members took part in the ceremony that was held at TPCKL’s championship West Course. The ceremony began with a welcome by event organiser Mr. Wan Ahmad Syahir. Wan also explained about native trees and shared the benefits of native tree planting. The ceremony was part of TPC Kuala Lumpur’s Environment Day programme.
