KLGCC to host Malaysian Open next Open next year

12 June 2009 - The prestigious Maybank Malaysian Open 2010 will be held at the newly renovated West Course of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) in February. The date is yet to be confirmed.

Co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours, the 49th edition will feature top players in the 156-player field with vital points on offer for the Race to Dubai, which provides the top-60 ranked players the chance to compete for the US$10 million prize fund at the season-ender Dubai World Championship.

The West Course was designed by Ted Parsiow and it went through a comprehensive renovation and remodeling works after it hosted the Open in 2006. The refurbishments have certainly added more bite to the layout from the one which Charlie Wi subdued two years ago. > MAYBANK MALAYSIAN OPEN
