TPC Kuala Lumpur breaking fast with PEYAKIN Home





Kuala Lumpur, 21 June 2017 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, 30 underprivileged children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim / Miskin Klang (PEYAKIN Home) together with their care-takers, had the pleasure of Berbuka Puasa, at the prestigious golf club in Malaysia, TPC Kuala Lumpur on 20 June 2017.

Around 4.30pm, the children and their care-takers arrived at TPC Kuala Lumpur in their raya outfits which were warmly greeted by the Public Relations & Communications team. Upon arrival, they proceed for Asar prayers before a fun filled game of bowling competition awaits them.

The group were divided into 5 for each lane, they seem very excited as they immediately put on their bowling shoes, chose their ideal size of bowling balls and quickly decided on their group names. The children later were briefed on the rule of game to win the bowling competition. In addition to that, some other children were also given a chance to experience other games available such as playing the PS4 at the game room, table tennis and watch a fun cartoon movie in the mini theatre.

Right after the fun bowling session, they were called to gather at the Piano Lounge for Berbuka Puasa. The Berbuka Puasa  event was hosted by Steven Thielke, Chief Executive Officer of TPC Kuala Lumpur and Dato’ Mustafa Mohd Ali, Club Captain together with the management team of TPC Kuala Lumpur.

The event started off with a warm greeting by the emcees, continued with an opening speech by the Club Captain, Dato’ Mustafa Mohd Ali and recitation of Doa by Ustaz Mohd Rahim bin Haji Sarbini. The children indulged the sweet dates to officially break the fast right after a beautiful Azan alluded by Mohd Watiq and followed by the Mahgrib prayer. After the prayers, the children continued to dine in a sumptuous buffet spread specially curated by the Food & Beverage Team.  While eating, the children were presented with a special Rising Star Juniors video montage. The video were really special and unique as it was shot at the PEYAKIN home late last year.

The evening continued with the handing out of duit raya and goody bags by Dato’ Mustafa Ali and Steven Thielke to all 30 children.

Later on, the top 3 winners of the highest score during the bowling competition received a gift from the Club which was presented by Steven Thielke.

The peak of the event was a balloon contest and pop quiz game for the children to win some cool prizes during that evening.

At about 9pm, CEO of TPC Kuala Lumpur presented a hamper to the principle of PEYAKIN, Tuan Haji Wan Abd Hisham.

Lastly, the children gathered on stage for a group photograph session. The crowd later proceeded for Terawih prayers and the night ended blissfully.
